It's Teeka's 1/2 birthday!

Our sweet baby is 6 months old already! I wonder if I remember anything that has happened in the past 5 years sometimes. Life gets so busy sometimes that it all becomes a blur! But when I sit down....I do remember! It has been so much fun having a little girl. She is so easy going, happy, and smiling all the time. Not to mention sleeping through the night! Teeka is so sweet and so content to just hang out that she hasn't even rolled over yet! That's right....6 months and hasn't rolled over yet! Trust me....there is nothing wrong with her!:)

She got her first two bottom teeth at 5 3/4 months, which is the soonest any of my kids have gotten any teeth. I was so surprised! she is getting really good with her hands now, and watch out because she is fast! I haven't started her on any solids yet, but that is soon to come. She has started watching us eat and is drinking water from a cup pretty good now.

Teeka loves to listen to herself talk and likes to hear it loud! She is a regular thumb sucker and has learned to soothe herself so well. Can't wait to try to knock that one:) She loves her brothers, but would rather see them at a distance rather than close up, microscopic view, like they usually give her! However, she lets them know when she doesn't like something, but it usually breaks their little hearts because they always mean well!

We love you Teeka...Happy 1/2 birthday!

"They Will Always Be My Babies!"

I have so enjoyed being a mom and there are many days that I sit back and look at my kids and I can't believe how fast they are growing up. Garrett and I have had this saying for a long time now and the twins are just now getting into as well.......Garrett was worried one day when he was much much younger that I wouldn't love him as much as the new babies (the twins) and I told him how much I loved him and that he would "always be my baby". That has stuck and we say it most everyday. Garrett has finally learned how to say it correctly. He used to say...."don't worry mom, you will always be my baby". Which is the same way I would say it to him. It was so cute that I never corrected him. I'm sad that he gets it right now. They grow up so quickly!

Some other things that the boys say that are so cute:

Sawyer: "We can't go outside, there's bees and wasps out there"
Chase: "I don't want a hot dog, I want DOG FOOD! (he means a corn dog)
Sawyer & Chase: "We don't want to go to the Big Church, we want to go to the Cute Church" (they aren't to sure about moving up to sunbeams.")
Garrett: he is really into using big words these days and they don't always come out in the right context.....I was trying to teach him to wipe his own bum because he was at the time 4 years old. I was getting a little frustrated because he was lacking confidence in the situation, so I said..."Does Patsy(babysitter) get mad at you cause you can't wipe your own bum?" Garrett replied, "No, she just gets impressed!"
Garrett: has recently started saying to Lance when he is teasing him...which is most of the time..."Whatever dad...You're not cool." (It's funny how you go from totally cool to a complete nerd over night.)
That's all that is coming to mind right now...I will have to think of more later.

Garrett doing what he does best...being a big brother

I had to bribe Chase with chocolate to get him to hug his brother

I wanted to get a picture of all the kid's feet, but those of you who know Teeka know that her feet never stop moving. This is the best I could do.

I love this...The boys love their sister so much

My four sweet babies...."You''ll always be my babies"

Gymnastics

The boys have really been wanting to get back into gymnastics, so we used their Christmas money that they got from Grandma & Grandpa Anderson to get them going again. They were all so excited to go the first day that they could hardly stand it. It is a really neat program that introduces gymnastics to the kids in a fun way. They do a lot of jumping on trampolines, swinging from bars and climbing. It is like a huge jungle gym. I wish I could have gotten better pictures....I will try harder next time.

Rock Stars!

Garrett got on this "rock star" kick somehow. I'm really not sure where he picked it up from, but I do know that he thinks he is pretty hot stuff. One night he was jammin' around the house and bustin' out all his cool moves. Sawyer decided to join in...I love his enthusiasm...he is trying so hard, but it's just not quite as strong as Garrett's. Check out his pose! Chase was done being a rock star by the time I got the camera out! You go boys!!!!

Sitting With Compton

The boys and I got to sit with Compton for the first time while Aunt Kaycee went to get her hair done. He was such a great little guy and it brought back all sorts of memories of the twins again. The only difference was that I couldn't feed Compton and Teeka at the same time! Thank goodness I had Garrett to help me. He is always wanting to feed Teeka a bottle, but the little turkey doesn't take one well enough for Garrett to handle it...but Compton did. Garrett was so excited to be able to feed him and he thought it was so funny when Compton had a blowout right in the middle of it all! While Garrett was feeding him he said, "I think Compton thinks I'm his mother"! How cute is that?
