PICTURES OF OUR KIDS!

Our Pretty Girl Teeka!
10 1/2 Months

We were trying to get a good picture of our kids. It obviously was not working, but I love this picture because we have so many emotions going on. Teeka seems to be saying, "I'm done with this!" I think we were all feeling this way by the end!

These are a few of the family pictures we were able to take while everybody was together. I think they turned out pretty good! Thanks for hanging in there everybody!

We had a really tough time trying to get a good family picture of us and all the kids. Teeka would not take her eyes off the grass for anything! I guess you just do the best you can with this many little ones!

Baker Family Reunion 2009

The Baker family was able to get together while Annette was in town and spend some time as one big happy family. We had so much fun together and the boys loved being with their "BIG" cousins. On the Baker side our kids are the youngest cousins so they get a lot of attention and have so much fun! We don't get to spend much time with Aunt Annette and the girls as they live so far away...but they love living in Alaska, so that is what is important to us. We get so excited to see them once a year when they make their trip down to the lower 48, so this year we decided to take some family pictures, have a BBQ, and celebrated Kelsey and Raelyn's upcoming birthdays. Hope everyone had fun, we know we did!Aunt Nett came with us to the circus. The boys liked the tigers and the clown the best.Kelsey and Raelyn's Birthday PartyGrandpa George with Chase and SawyerThe water balloon fight turned into a family affair. We love you all, thanks for the good time!

WE'RE SO GLAD WHEN DADDY COMES HOME...

The other day I had a lot to get accomplished, so when Lance got home I assigned him the kids for a few minutes. All of the sudden things were unusually quiet in our house so I decided to make sure they were all still alive. I went in our bedroom to find Dad in bed with all the kids. He somehow convinced them it was time to take a nap at 6pm. I'm not sure he got much sleep, but the kids really are so glad when daddy comes home! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD, WE LOVE YOU!

THIS ONE'S FOR PARKER....LOVE MOGLI!

Hey Parker, It's me...Mogli, again. It's been awhile since I have seen you! Your boys are taking really good care of me and playing with me a lot. You taught them well, buddy! Today we are just playing in the back yard and having lots of fun. I love to lay here and let the boys cover me with sand. The cold sand feels so good when it is REALLY hot outside.

Well, I gotta get going for now, buddy. I really miss you and can't wait to see you again. Love, your dog, Mogli.

MARCUS'S 1ST BIRTHDAY!

The kids and I were able to met Mitch, Leah, Avery and Marcus in Douglas for a short weekend over Marcus's birthday. We were so excited to get to spend a little time with them as we don't get to see them nearly enough. I wish we lived closer because I really miss my sister, but it was so fun to get to celebrate Marcus's first birthday with him. He was so cute, but just like all 1 year olds, he didn't quite get what all the fuss was about. We love you Marcus and Happy Birthday little man!

Marcus was way more interested in his carrot. How cute is he? So cute!Marcus is the sweetest mama's boy you'll ever meet, so it really surprised me how social he wanted to be with Teeka. He wanted to rub her head the whole time we were together while making this adorable face. This apparently is the new face he has been making. I love it!
Marcus still making his face:0 And Teeka has finally had enough. They are so cute together!

SPIDERS & BUGS & WORMS....OH MY!

So Chase and Sawyer have been having some issues with all kinds of creepy crawlies lately and we have been trying every trick in the book to help them overcome their fear of bugs. Garrett has even gone to extremes to show the boys how brave he can be and he is so good about constantly encouraging them to be brave like him. So while we were picnicking Lance decided to dig under a rock and give them each their very own pet worm. Fun..right? Well, the boys really took to it. Great idea dad! Garrett and Chase were so excited and began making a worm haven so Garrett could take the worms for show and share at school. Sawyer was trying to be a trooper and play along, but his faces say it all. He really wasn't sure about the whole thing, but he hung in there like a champion.

We were all really playing up how brave they were both being, so I wanted to take this picture to make them feel special. I wanted them to hold their worms up and say "cheese". See how Chase was loving it, and Sawyer was really doing his best! So, as they were saying "cheese, cheese, cheese"...all of the sudden Chase says, "uh oh...I broke him head off". That's right....he broke his worm in half. A bite of a tragedy that didn't last long because we were all laughing so hard. The boys had me tell the story about 20 times as we drove down the mountain. So much fun!

P.S. We need Carter to come visit...he is the bug machine!

Memorial Day Picnic 2009

Lance thought he was going to have to work on Memorial Day, which is usually the case. I was a little bummed out because I was looking forward to doing something with the family, so I called my mom and dad and like the troopers they are they were here in a hurry. And to make the day even better, it was a little rainy, so Lance was able to come join in the fun.

We took the kids up the mountain and had a picnic at one of the cabins on the Ranch. The kids had a blast going on a hike with Grandpa and Dad while Grandma and I played with Teeka in the dirt! I love these memories and the kids couldn't get enough. Chase wearing his shades

Chase and Sawyer started doing this to each other. It was so cute. Funny the things that amuse them. ...JUST DOING WHAT TWINS DO BEST!

Teeka @ 10 Months

It is so hard to believe how fast time passes. Ten months already gone and sometimes I wonder if I can remember yesterday. It seems as though time just keeps going faster the more children I have and I wonder if I have stopped to smell the roses often enough. It is so easy to get so busy. I just pray that I have taken enough pictures to remember!

Teeka is growing so fast and continues to be such a ray of sunshine in our lives. The boys continue to adore her and I am now convince that she will not date until she is at least 40. They are so protective of their baby girl! The other night I decided to take the boys to a movie and leave Teeka with a friend so that I could focus on the boys. When we dropped Teeka off the boys started to cry asking where their baby was and wanting to go back and get her. I hope they are always this close to their baby sister!

These days Teeka is developing and changing so fast. She now finger feeds herself about half the time and is slowly starting to give up on baby food. The more real food she eats, the worse that stuff tastes. Which is okay because the girl is like Jaws! She now has 7 teeth and I think she is trying to teethe her first molars already.

Teeka is starting to make all kinds of sounds including; dadada, mamama, and nanana. She loves to be sung to and sings along with you. She is the biggest snuggler I have ever held and will snuggle anyone, anywhere! This may not be so good as she gets older:)

She is pulling up and starting to walk around furniture and is pretty pleased when she does. She is learning the words, "be soft", and when she is "soft" to her brothers she gives herself a round of applause! Yes, she is clapping and it is so adorable.

She has become more tolerant of her brothers, but lets out a loud scream when she is not impressed with whatever it is they are doing to her or with her. She is definitely the boss! She has also mastered the "fake" laugh and does it as loud as she can whenever she can!

But best of all, her sweet blue eyes just light up every time she smiles and you can't help smiling right along with her.

This is the cutest thing ever....Teeka crawls all over the house like this. She won't put her toys down to go anywhere, so she crawls on her elbows and her knees everywhere she goes. I have never seen another baby do this before. Isn't it great how they are all unique!
