Memorial Day Picnic 2009

Lance thought he was going to have to work on Memorial Day, which is usually the case. I was a little bummed out because I was looking forward to doing something with the family, so I called my mom and dad and like the troopers they are they were here in a hurry. And to make the day even better, it was a little rainy, so Lance was able to come join in the fun.

We took the kids up the mountain and had a picnic at one of the cabins on the Ranch. The kids had a blast going on a hike with Grandpa and Dad while Grandma and I played with Teeka in the dirt! I love these memories and the kids couldn't get enough. Chase wearing his shades

Teeka @ 10 Months

It is so hard to believe how fast time passes. Ten months already gone and sometimes I wonder if I can remember yesterday. It seems as though time just keeps going faster the more children I have and I wonder if I have stopped to smell the roses often enough. It is so easy to get so busy. I just pray that I have taken enough pictures to remember!

Teeka is growing so fast and continues to be such a ray of sunshine in our lives. The boys continue to adore her and I am now convince that she will not date until she is at least 40. They are so protective of their baby girl! The other night I decided to take the boys to a movie and leave Teeka with a friend so that I could focus on the boys. When we dropped Teeka off the boys started to cry asking where their baby was and wanting to go back and get her. I hope they are always this close to their baby sister!

These days Teeka is developing and changing so fast. She now finger feeds herself about half the time and is slowly starting to give up on baby food. The more real food she eats, the worse that stuff tastes. Which is okay because the girl is like Jaws! She now has 7 teeth and I think she is trying to teethe her first molars already.

Teeka is starting to make all kinds of sounds including; dadada, mamama, and nanana. She loves to be sung to and sings along with you. She is the biggest snuggler I have ever held and will snuggle anyone, anywhere! This may not be so good as she gets older:)

She is pulling up and starting to walk around furniture and is pretty pleased when she does. She is learning the words, "be soft", and when she is "soft" to her brothers she gives herself a round of applause! Yes, she is clapping and it is so adorable.

She has become more tolerant of her brothers, but lets out a loud scream when she is not impressed with whatever it is they are doing to her or with her. She is definitely the boss! She has also mastered the "fake" laugh and does it as loud as she can whenever she can!

But best of all, her sweet blue eyes just light up every time she smiles and you can't help smiling right along with her.

This is the cutest thing ever....Teeka crawls all over the house like this. She won't put her toys down to go anywhere, so she crawls on her elbows and her knees everywhere she goes. I have never seen another baby do this before. Isn't it great how they are all unique!

Wyoming Outlaws!

When I had Chase and Sawyer and we were in the hospital in the NICU, I had pictures of all three boys up in our little area to try to make things seem a little more like home and to comfort my babies when I wasn't there....or maybe it was to comfort me. Anyway, one day one of the nurses was looking at the pictures and commented on the boys' names. She really liked all three of them and said that they all sounded like Wyoming Cowboys....Garrett, Chase and Sawyer. I never thought of it that way, but I think that she is right.

When the boys put on these adorable chaps and vests that my mom actually made for my brothers and I (Luke and Loren), it confirmed the nurses thought....and brought back so many memories of when I was their age. I used to ride my horse most everyday and there are many pictures of me in my orange chaps!

Teeka The Super Hero...Or Villain?

It has officially happened. I was wondering how long it would take. The boys have finally turned Teeka into a super hero. I originally thought that she would be Mary Jane or Lois Lane...at least that was what I was hoping for, but the boys turned our little princess into CAT WOMAN...is she a villain? Garrett swears to me that she is a good super hero, so why do the boys run from her, calling her Cat Woman as she crawls as fast as she can chasing them around the house? Anyway, it is so dang cute and she loves it! Sometimes I think her poor little arms are going to fall off from exhaustion, but she just keeps on going. The girl's gonna be tough!

It is not unusual to see all kinds of Super Hero's running around our house. You name it, we've got the costume and they all have a blast! Costumes are great toys! Pick them up after Halloween for just a few bucks!

Swimming In Thermop!

We had sooooo much fun swimming in Thermopolis. Grandpa, Dad and I all got our workouts taking the boys up the stairs to the slides and back down again...about 500 times! It was great! Dad and Sawyer heading down the slide. The boys learned to plug their noses....it seemed to help with the very minimal splashing they experienced entering the pool....their heads NEVER went under the water:)

Things like this are really fun for Garrett now because he is getting to be a good little swimmer and tall enough to touch in the shallow water. We still have to watch him close, but he is now big enough to go down the adult slides by himself and he felt so big! We just had to teach him how to pretend that he was 6 years old for the age limit! One little girl actually asked how old he was...it was cute!

Grandma's job was to entertain Teeka for hours while we were on the slides. But eventually Grandpa even took Teeka down the slide. It was so cute because she didn't even know what was happening. She just sat on his lap chillin'.

Picnic In The Park!

Here are a few things we did while we were in Thermopolis with Grandma and Grandpa.... All the kids with Grandma and Grandpa by the "hot pots"

Grandpa and Grandma set up an Easter egg hunt in the park for the boys. They loved it!

Their baskets were left over fast food bags that we had from our picnic. We improvise well!

The boys always get so excited to be around their grandparents (both sides!) and we love the relationships they share with them. We were able to spend a really great weekend with my parents over Easter weekend in Thermopolis. We went swimming, to the dinosaur museum, and on a fun walk over a swinging bridge over the river. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! We had a blast!Grandma with the boys at the dinosaur museum.
